Directorate of Collegiate Education, Government of Kerala (www.dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in) has invited online applications for the Muslim Girls Scholarship (MGS) 2012 from Keralite Muslim Girl student who studying for the first year of Graduation or Higher courses in Govt./ Aided Institution.
The amount and the number of scholarships under various courses are
- Under Graduates: Rs. 3,000/- per annum (3,000 Numbers)
- Post Graduates: Rs. 4,000/- per annum (1,000 Numbers)
- Professional Courses: Rs. 5,000/- per annum (1,000 Numbers)
- Hostel Stipend: Rs. 10,000/- per annum (1,000 Numbers) (those who are eligible for hostel stipend will not be eligible for scholarship).
MGS 2012 Eligibility Details
- Should belong to MUSLIM community and should be a native of Kerala.
- Should be a GIRL student studying for the first year of Graduation or Higher courses in Govt./ Aided Institution.
- Muslim Girl students who got admission to Self financing colleges from merit seat are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Should have scored 50% or above in the qualifying Examination.
- Family Annual income should not exceed 4.50 Lakhs.
- Those who apply for Hostel stipend should be staying in recognized hostels.
